Hi,

I have Windows 98. My CD-ROM is not working.
But it was working properly before.
It's not even on Device Manger.
Or in DOS it says "no valid CD-ROM device driver selected".
I can't it find on my computer.

What I should do, please help.

P.S. Once it show up, but when I put CD in there, CD-ROM just stop respond. And that was the time I see it

If it's not showing in device manager, I would suggest opening your PC case and checking the cable running from the motherboard to the CD drive.

Also check the other cables going into it. With the PC switched off, remove and the replace the connectors, then try booting your PC again.

If it still doesn't work, it may be broken.
