not working CD-ROM

Hi,
I have Windows 98. My CD-ROM is not working. But it was working properly before. It's not even on Device Manger. Or in DOS it says "no valid CD-ROM device driver selected". I can't it find on my computer.
What I should do, please help.
P.S. Once it show up, but when I put CD in there, CD-ROM just stop respond. And that was the time I see it
