I have a customer trying to install software off of a CD-R recordable compact disc. He has been able to install the application on some PCs in his office, but on others he gets an error message on the setup.exe, SETUP.exe IS NOT A VALID WIN32 APPLICATION. I tested the cd prior to sending it to the customer and it ran fine on my WindowsNT IMB K6 233 MHz system with a 24X cd-rom drive. The customer has a IBM clone AMD K6 300 MHz system with a 24X cd-rom running Windows 98. Can anyone think of why the Windows 98 system is getting this error?

Answer:
This indicates a problem reading the CD ROM.
Install new drivers for the cdrom drive, this
will generally solve the problem.
In the rare case you have a bad CD ROM.
