Just curious who else has experienced this, and what the cause, and fix(if required) might be.

There is no fix, try use find and search for those two files, if they are not on your harddrive, just ignore the message

I have had "Nuts & Bolts" tell me that I am missing the awlft32.dll file. What program does this relate to? Win95?, as I have Win98 on the computer now after once having Win95 as the O/S.
Could something that used 95 be calling for it? seeing that I am in a 98 environment now?
I really have no idea, I am speculating...can someone please enlighten me? Where do I obtain these missing files?

Anyone needing these or other .dll files should go to windrivers.com, there you will find a link for .dll files.I found the above files using their link without any problems.

Norton System Check reports 2 missing files: "'C:\windows\system\awfxex32.exe' cannot access a necessary file, 'awfxrn32.dll'" and "'C:\windows\system\awfxex32.exe' cannot access a necessary file, 'awlft332.dll.'"

I cannot find a reliable copy of either of these files.

I'm about ready to give up on finding them, too, because the system has been working relatively well without them . . . whatever they are.

I also had these two missing .dll's and tried to download them from windrivers. I found both and downloaded them to my desktop. However, when I clicked on them on my desktop, I got the same message that I got when I downloaded them from the site about " saving them to my desktop". NOTHING INSTALLED ! I then tried to install from the desktop to drive "c", and it STILL did NOT INSTALL THE PROGRAMS into my computer. I DO NOT know if I got the program or JUST the "you are about to install this program" message from the site. I have NO IDEA what to do next to fix the missing two .dll's.

I had this same problem when I installed Norton Works. Go to www.drd.dyndns.org. Click on dll at the top of the page. Then go to Windows 95, even if you have Windows 98 or Windows98 SE. When you download the files, save them to disk under C drive. When Norton does the next scan and reports errors, click repair and Norton will find the files. hope this helps.

These files are used by Microsoft Fax dating back to Win95 but also available for Win98 by installing Windows Messaging. Windows messaging apparently was removed and Microsoft Fax is still in your startup group (unseen). The dlls along with all others it may require can be found on your Win95 CD. For Origanal Win95 they are in Win95_05.cab and for OSR2 Win95_06.cab
