No way of having Active Desktop (IE 4)

With IE 4.X, you normally have Active Desktop. On my win 95 pc, there's IE 4.72 ...but no way to get Active Desktop (No mention of it in the monitor display settings, or Internet Options of IE or anywhere else you can find a setup for it!). That's weird! It even more weird because I can have the Channel Bar displayed on my desktop. But even the channel Bar Options have no reference to Active Desktop!
