Could someone please point me in the right direction?
I just bought a used HP Pavilion with Windows 98. My intention is to to dual boot Windows/Linux on the machine, (for development purposes) so I am making room.
Quicken 99 is installed and is apparently bundled software. It does not appear in the Add/Remove programs dialog box, and there is no uninstall.exe in any of the Quicken folders.
How do I get rid of it? I fear deleting shared files if I just delete the folder.
Any suggestions? Your help is greatly appreciated.
You could use an uninstaller program like 'CleanSweep. However 'shared' files are never put in program's own folders so it would be safe to delete the Quicked folder.

It should be okay to Delete the Quicken Folder. Any Shared file would be in the "C:\Program Files\Common Files\" folder or sub folder(s). There might be a file in the root directory named "Billminder.exe" this is also a Quicken file you'll want to get rid of. If it is there, you'll need to edit the Autoexec.bat to delete the line that points to billminder.exe.
