I don't know what the problem is with my sound. I can put in cds and they play just fine so don't tell me the speakers are messed up. Its like files downloaded on a computer that won't play. I went to add new hardware to try reinstalling it and it said the driver wasn't working properly. It trys to find another driver and says the best one is the one I'm already using so I can't update it and it closes the window. What do I do?

Be more specific: what is the exact problem.
Explain what file you are trying to open and what happens then etc.

Do you really not know your OS?
If so, you will be here many more times, I'm afraid...

(The OS is visible if you click on Start (vertically at the left).
Moreover: OS means Operating System, for instance Windows 95.)
