How do you get win95 to use long file names?
I'm not running in dos compatibility mode but I do use a disk manager utility(MAXIBLAST).

Nptk,
This seems unlikely to me, but I suppose it's worth checking: Go to Control Panel, System Icon, Performance Tab, File System.., Troubleshooting: Is disable long name preservation for old programs checked?

No, disable long name preservation for old programs is _not_ checked.

I use FILE MANAGER a lot instead of Exployer you think that's the problem?

File Manager seems to be the culprit....it _does_not_ support long filenames,
even the win95 version!!
