No java ~

I took a major power hit and my computer was afu, i had to go and reinstall many files one by one. Then had reinstall IE5, now i cannot run any java applets...Does anyone know of which file/files i can replace to fix this problem? Someone gave me the computer, and i don't have the Win98 cd.

Try windowsupdate.microsoft.com

Download Java Virtual Machine.

http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/default.htm Microsoft Virtual Machine is on this page but I do not know if it will let you there as I got there though my own updates.

from there, select production updates, and it should be a little ways down the page that you eventually end up at
