no fdisk present

i typed in fdisk under c drive and it says no fdisks is present. how do i creat a partition for win98 fat files if i cant get into fdisk? how come i dont have fdisk?

Fdisk should be on your emergency boot disk. don't have one, go here: www.bootdisk.com and make one.

Go to Start/Run and type in fdisk.

According to his previous post, the message after running fdisk is "no fixed disks present" (makes a difference)

This usually means just what it says - fdisk can't find your hard drive - either it's broken, missing or incorrectly setup in CMOS.

Is the drive shown at the POST? How about in CMOS?
