no drive c to format

I deleted the non-dos partition (XP gone bad was in it) and created a primary Dos partition using Fdisk hoping to install Win98. But when I reboot to a: to format c: it says there's no drive c:
I tried deleting the partition I just created, then the non-Dos partition came back, then there was the drive c: again.

Hi, thanks for your quick reply. I check the fdisk like you said. I guess that was the problem. I fixed it with new bootable disk and it works. Thanks again, I really appreciate it.
