Hello Sure hope someone can help. Have a 1997 Micron tower millenium Xku that came with no monitor am trying to hook up a packard bell 15" monitor (because it is know to be in good operating order) but when I power up the micron the green power light comes on the monitor (like it did always) but changes to amber like it is in the standby mode. So far have tried to do as micron suggested which was power up computer wait till light on monitor turned amber turn off monitor disconnect and the reonnect plug to computer and turn on monitor which they said should take care of problem but it did'nt. I might add that the moitor always went amber when shut down from computer but always went back on on start up. If there might be some thing that needed to be changed in the compuiter bios it might help but have no screen to see command lines. I have no windows 95 startup disk but do have windows 98se startup disk if that would help. Any help would be greatly appreateted. (micron computer is 1997 model and monitor is 1995 if thats any help thanks again Paul Hyland

It appears that your Micron might be dead.
Do you hear a single beep when you power on?Troubleshooting a dead PC:
