I have just formatted my harddisk and when I restarted the PC with a bootable CD it booted normally until it wanted to install a drive leeter for CD-rom, it gave a error massege "no valid cd-rom drive is installed"
the PC is PI 150MHZ and I have formatted at least 50 PC's with the bootable cd that I have. I also tried a startup diskket, but same thing happend again.

The CD-ROM may be so old that it requires proprietary drivers rather than being able to use the generic ones for DOS and Windows.
