All components are new. The power supply fan comes on, the cpu fan comes on, the monitor light is on but does not change to green. I know I have an incomplete boot but where? The cpu is warm to the touch after power down and removal of the fan. How do I determine that the video card is compatitable with the FIC AZ11 motherboard.

removal of the fan
eh?
what made u do that??
AMDs need fan and the fan must be fit properly.

Do u hear any sounds from the computer while she stalls? if so these could indicate the reason for failure.

did u change any hardware before this started happening?
post some details and we could help,

Regards,
Kailas Shastry.

As long as the Video card fits in the agp slot it should be compatible. Try pulling out the card and the ram sticks and placing them back in. Also can you press the button on the front of the monitor to make become green? Was the monitor working before. Was your machine working before the mods?

Are the posted SPECS, namely : AMD/950/128/ddr/2100
that of the problem Computer?

If so, you might be using the WRONG RAM!
I believe this Mob uses SDRAM PC 100-133 and it can also use VCMs

Sorry, the ram is pc133/ 128. The monitor does work. The computer is a new build and has not powered up before. The computer starts to boot and then stops no sounds, nothing. I removed the fan to see if the cpu was warm to the touch. I was to;d to do this to assure that the proessor was working.
