I have a NetGear FA311 NIC card, which I use with my cable modem (3Com). Sometimes when I'm downloading, the computer crashes, saying "exception 0E occurred at 0028:C29BBC8E in VxD FA311ND3(01) + 0000040E... etc. This is apparently something with the NIC card, but any idea what it is?
Go to the Netgear website and see if they have a newer driver you can use.
If that's not it, we have to start looking for conflicts with other devices in your computer. Most likely (or hopefully anyway), the driver upgrade will fix it.

If you have the right driver - and if there are no device conflicts - exception faults could be memory or cpu based. Maybe check that your cpu cooling fan isn't clogged by a big ball of lint; maybe change the order you have your memory loaded.
