New Hard drive/ Install Win 98

I am replacing a 4.1Gb drive with a 'Maxtor diamondplus 8 40Gb Ata/133' drive, do I need to change the BIOS (american megatrends 0627 07/15/95) before I install win 98? also anymore advice would be welcome!!

If the new HD is recognized for it's full capacity by the bios and fdisk partitions it to it's full capacity then you shouldn't have any problems.

If the BIOS is prior to 1999 you may need to update to have it recognize a drive larger than 30 MB. Check out your m/board's manufacturer's website for more info.
