New AGP Vid.Card=No Power to CPU

I recently bought a New Nvidia Gforce 2 Video Card to Replace my Voodoo 5 5500. The only problem is when I insert the card into the AGP slot, the computer will not power up. Take the card out and it powers up just fine. Put the old Voodoo 5 AGP back in and it also powers up fine. Is the card dead? Not compatable? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

MB=Biostar M6VCG Socket 370
CPU=PIII 733

Robert, don't know what type of mobo you have, but try holding down the insert key with the new video card in and when you power on the machine. Sometimes this will work with some mobo's, but sometimes not. It is worth a try though. If it works, go into bios and set proper fsb speed, init agp or pci first option and other stuff you think might need changing.

i installed also the geforce2 400mx in my machine and had a simlar problem..which is when i shut down after use i get no message to turn the pc off,just a black screen.
