networking win95 with winXP

How exactly do I network an old win95 box with my winXP box? I've already set up the network cards on both machines, and I have them set to use the same workgroup (in this case, "MSHOME"). The problem is, they simply can't "see" one another, and everytime my XP box tries to connect, it runs into trouble trying to acquire it's network address. Help would be appreciated. Kthx.
