I have an old school computer that is configured to run on the network. How do I start up so it doesnt ask me to log in to the network? Is there a special domain to use? Thanks.
We've heard that a million monkeys at a million keyboards could produce the complete works of Shakespeare; now, thanks to the Internet, we know that is not true

If you are asked for a user name and password before windows loads, early in the boot sequence, you probably have a network card with a boot rom chip on it, the bios Setup is set to boot from it, and it is that boot rom that has been set up to require the username and password. If that is the case, remove the network card, and there should be no user name or password required - it should auto boot from the hard drive - or you may have to go into the bios setup and set the boot order so that it does not boot from the network card first. You can replace the network card with one that does not have a boot rom chip.

With windows 98 you can click cancel or press the escape key to get past the login screen. Doing so will merely disable network services.
Then you can delete the .pwl files and change the login type (in networking settings).
