Comment:

When I plug in my ethernet cord to the network adapter in my laptop the screen shrinks and distorts then the computer restarts. After that it will not boot up, it just keeps restarting, but everything works fine as soon as I take out the ethernet cord. I've tried to plug cord in when computer is shutdown, but it does the same thing.

Sounds like a power supply problem.

I would have it looked at before any serious damage is done.

try another network wire. it may have a short in it. that would explain the rebooting issue.
