You probably have to configure Netscape Mail for your internet service provider's servers...
You have to use your service provider's pop and smtp host settings. You have to get these settings from your service provider...they probably have their own web page.

You may have the worm 'Happy.exe' I've heard it does that type of thing you explained, Have you had any e-mail with fire works recently if so go to yahoo type Happy.exe you will find something there. Good Luck
