You can get rid of any remnants form Netscape by typing netscape into the searh box on the start / find / files and folders option. If you know what you're doing, you can remove the Netscape keys from the registry. if you're not experienced in that area, don't attempt it. To change the homepage from MSM to whatever you want, open IE and choose Tools / Internet options and change the URl for the page you want.

Yes you can remove Netscape control panel\add remove software\ choose Netscape then uninstall if it will not let you uninstall the program because "some files are missing" go into c:\programfile\ and delete the Netscape folder
as for IE, once you open IE you get "welcome to msn internet access"
if so go into start\programs\accessories\communication\open "internet connection wizard" follow the steps this should take care of the issue....

If you want to keep your already created bookmarks before uninstalling Netscape look for .htm or .html files in the \Netscape\User\ folder and move them to a different folder.
