Any opinions on this browser? I was thinking of downloading and trying this browser out, to see how I like it. Will it make changes automatically to my IE, if I do this? How do I make sure IE and Outlook Express are still my defaults? Thanks for any help or suggestions. I thought I'd get a little info before doing this.

What version of this browser are you thinking
of using? There are alot of versions of netscape. In my own opinion Netscape is a better
browser than Any IE. I am running 3 netscapes
3 mozillas and a couple others. I also would
say that you might try OPERA 6.1 : Opera browser is also very good browser. Also there
shouldn't be any changes to your IE. It will
prompt you and ask if you want to make netscape
your default browser, just say no if you want.

You can try it without any problems IE and OE will stay as defaults until you change them. Netscape will import a copy of your favorites automatically.

I personally found the latest version of Netscape too slow and not a patch on Internet Explorer.

You can see all the available versions of Netscape at the below address:

My only suggestion is not to use v6.1 as it was quite buggy. v6.2 is much better, and Yes, Netscape is better than any IE.

AOL owns Netscape and uses IE as it's default browser. Does that tell you anything?

Try Netscape 4.79..do far it appears to be the friendliest of all their versions. Netscape will be AOL next browser, in case
some others do not know this yet...its coming to all AOL users. If you like to experiment with browsers, Opera is the fastest browser available, but it takes some
tweaking and a little bit of skill.

Try Navigator 4.08 without communicator. Last browser before AOL took over.

Dianna it all depends upon which version of Netscape you are trying to load , still I think after loading Netscape 6 the PC will ask for which one to keep as default browser
, when you first turn on IE after installing Netscape 6 .

I myself have both browsers loaded and going smooth , but please don't try this with IE 6 cause may people found out bugs in IE 6.

EnJoy !
