Hello,

I am exprincing the following errors with Netscape 4.61

These seem to be the 2 most common errors.

NETSCAPE caused an invalid page fault in
module AWT3240.DLL at 0157:6012a7a9.

NETSCAPE caused an invalid page fault in
module NETSCAPE.exe at 0157:004d985f.

I've tried to see if I couldn't get my answers at the Netscape newsgroups, but no one from Netscape seems to be answering any of the post. (I'm not the only one having promblems with this verion of Netscape.) So, if someone here can tell me what's going on I'd really appricate it.

Thanks,

Damon Smith

Damon,
I had similar problems with NS 4.61.
I'm running Win98 with IE5 and kept getting illegal operations and page faults too. I had to finally uninstall NS and go back and get just the stand alone browser (4.08).
It now works fine.

Usine Netscape 4.7 getting invalid page fault in AWT3240.DLL at 137:6012f73f
Older version (friend using it so don't know version) accessing the same URS has no problem. IE4.0 runs OK as well.
We all need help.

Getting a GPF with dibeng.dll in netscape has been reported to be a result of improper video adapter settings. Set your adaptor to the windows VGA default adapter, and you may find that no more errors occur. Then, you'll have to update your video drivers, if you can find them. Try the change and see if you get anymore errors.
