Just what is Netbus? Is it what happened to my friend? Awhile ago, a girl told him to download her picture. It opened a dowload box, and it was taking awhile, so he stopped it. She said, Hey, why'd you stop? He said, It was taking too long. She said, hey, it'll be worth it. So he started downloading again. Nothing happened. Someone IM'ed him and he forgot all about it. Then she came back laughing at him. Being a newbie, he ignored it. Then things began happening. His CD-Rom would open, his printer printed out Hello 8 times, and his computer would start typing on its own. While talking in AIM, it would type nasty things and send them. It would also change from upper to lower case on him. Do you think this is Netbus?

His netstat -a shows TCP CHANGE:5 #'s
under foreign, java-script-of-unknown-and under State, origin-.netscape.com:0
Then under that it says tening.

And he keeps getting Runtime error 216 @ 0002938 with an ok?

It is probably just a harmless .exe or batch file she sent you as a joke. Someone sent me a free coke holder via e-mail once. I was puzzled when I clicked on it and my CD-Rom door oped revealing a little hole which to place my cup. Someone probably expanded on the idea and you were one of the victims. To see what I mean search the internet for "cute little .exe programs" or "email jokes." There are also one that turn your screen upside down - put the cd one and the screen one together and your on your way to a program like the one your describing. I am pretty sure this is what it is - but please don't send me the program. The runtime errors was probably just your computer trying to run some of the programming.
