Net freezes after computer upgrade

I have a Compaq computer that I have had for two years. Well two weeks ago I tried to cut it on & nothing would run. I took it to the shop & they did a computer upgrade. New case , power supply , video card , motherboard & processor. Well now every 5-10 mins sometimes sooner it hangs on the net. It hangs anywhere from 30 secs to over a min any idea what could be causing it? I'm really ticked about this because it never did this before they upgraded it.

Hi Joan. Dont waste your time, Just take it back to the people who did the upgrade and tell them to fix it properly. Tell them to try it. You paid for it to be right not for it to give you problems. Good luck Joan. Have a nice day.

I agree, for Compaq seems to have used your problem to sell you hardware, that you did not really need. You even have the right to ask them to give your money back, for they did not do a proper job. They have a reputation to maintain and believe me, they don't like to read these kind of messages on forums...

I agree with the above.
You probably just needed a new power supply and they went crazy.
I'd demand my money back and I'd write a letter detailing the whole thing to Compaq.
Compaq has never cared much about customer service for the regular guy, they want the high end stuff, but you can at least voice your disappointment with their repair shop.
Summary: I upgrade from Windows 95 to Windows 98. My problem is after the Windows 98 Screen the computer just freezes showing the Desktop with no icons. Before upgrading there was no problem with the compute...
Summary: Every time I create a cd using easy cd creator, my computer freezes after it has copied, any ideas as it is a pain in the arse, I have to turn it of at the mains. Cheers JIM...
