Probably pretty divided opinions, but I like CD Creator 4.x and 5...
I was on Nero for a while and was having a few problems so I switched to Roxio CD Creator 4.x then a few weeks ago upgraded to 5.x...
I think the interface is a little "cleaner" and probably slightly easier to use...
I have had fewer problems with CD Creator, but that's not to say that I had a lot of problems with Nero...
I guess it feels a little more "comfortable"...
Hope this helps
Steve

Most reviews say they are just about equal in performance, but CD Creator wins because it's easier to use.

BTW, bundled with the Sony RW drive I recently bought was burning software called B's GOLD. It apparently is very popular in Japan, and works (for me at least) without a hitch. VERY easy to use. (I have used both Creator and Nero, too.)

I use Nero, EasyCD and B's Gold. Of course for 2 burners. One uses EasyCD and Nero the other B's Gold.
I use each one for specific tasks.
EasyCD I find best for music cd's. Both Nero and EasyCD have great wav editors.Nero for burning data cd's.
B's I use simply because neither Nero or EasyCD work with my second burner.

I have them both and find Nero to be a real fine program. Roxio, Easy CD Creator was great in version 4.0 but I haven't cared much for the updated version. I also use Iomega Hot Burn which I like better than above as it uses a great drag and drop, feature that works real well. I also use the Musicmatch Jukebox burner which is super, especially for tagging your selections after you burn, and even has a CD label creator that drops the list into it. If you are choosing between the two I would go with Nero more flexable.

I paid $80 to get Easy CD Creator 5 (deluxe?) when I couldn't find my Nero disk and found that I couldn't copy a CD with only one CD drive. It didn't seem to have the option to copy to harddrive then burn the CD.
Nero did this easily. Fortunately, I found my Nero CD.
Anyone want Easy CD, cheap?

I used em both for basic backup needs, they look the same for me (cause I use only main functions)
Nero looks to be the more professional, CD creator more user-friendly .. I guess both are fine programs
Nero has got more ppl using it I guess -

Well I have used Nero but prefer EZ CD 5 Platinum. And Don, nice of you to offer it so cheap but I never really even asked for mine. It was offered to me and when I accepted I got no reply but a couple weeks later it turned up in my mailbox. What can I say? Maybe I have a software fairy? Anyway I like the EZ CD 5 as compared to Nero, but bundled with my Sony CD-RW was Sony CD Extreme. Sony CD was pretty user friendly but EZ CD 5 is still my prefered program.

I would recommend avoiding Roxio software if at all possible.
When it works, its fine. But I have had problems with every version I have used with an external Iomega CD burner, and the biggest hitch is that Roxio software is nigh on impossible to remove cleanly - so it is very hard to replace it with a problem free solution.
In fact, on moving to Windows XP, Roxio software successfully prevented even the in-built XP SD writing features from working - despite the fact that Roxio wrote them! Surely an own goal.
