Please can someone send me a copy of WIN me's scandisk u can zip it up and send by email: chimdinmao@yahoo.com i have to scan my boss's 60GB hard disk 2wice a week and it's hard work(spending an idle 4hours waiting to shutdown and put off the lghts and lockup) , just pop in the WinME CD, open a DOS box, and (copy and paste or run these commands:
EXTRACT D:\WIN9X\WIN_17.CAB SCANDSKW.exe %windir%
This presumes that your CD-ROM/CD-R/CD-RW/DVD drive letter is D. Change it if
necessary.
Type EXIT and hit Enter to close the DOS session.
Done.
ADVANTAGE: WinME's tools are *much* faster!
thanks
tracy

If you are doing a 'thorough' scan twice a week, your boss is really paranoid! A standard scan should be plenty good enough. Are you sure that he wants a thorough scan done?

You could always use the scheduler, and then just leave the system on at night, and have it scan for you sometime like early morning so it's done and ready when he/she comes in in the AM.

Just a thought. People tend to leave things on, anyway, why not take advantage of it?

Cheers!
Chase

I've got the ME defrag, and have been looking for the ME scandisk, without success. (Been to Microslop.com, but couldn't find it.) If someone has a site to download it, please post it. TIA, Dan
