Comment: I am upgrading my computer to Win98 because it cannot handle Windows ME. I have the Cd for 98 (and the OEM) but my Cd drive is not working right now. Can anyone help me out? Kevin

Reply: (edit)Slave the hard drive in another computer and copy the Win98 Directory to the hard drive. Place it back into your computer and run the setup from there. Mesich

If on other computer the hard drive is the only thing on that ribbon cable you would place the jumper setting on your hard drive to the slave position and connect it to the same cable as the other hard drive.
You could then format your hard drive, removing Win95 and All Data.
Copy the Win98 directory to the hard drive by using my instructions in
the link below.
