Need Win95 Certificate of authenticity

Comment:
I recently tried to install Win 95 on an old laptop I'm fixing up, and couldn't find the certificate of authenticity. It must have gotten thrown out along with a bunch of other things I presumed useless in my naivetie. If anyone knows where I can find the number, or if anyone can send a number to me it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure, I'm pretty positive it's the earliest version though.

If I understand your problem correctly, you need the serial number that came with each full version of Windows 95. This was attached to the front of your your manual and will only work with the CD it came with.
