i am restoring my computer, and windows will ask me for my product id number. i lost the slip, and i don't have one. does anyone know where i can get one, or have one to give me?

Start>run>regedit>Then + HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE +Software+Microsoft+Windows (NOW)Click on CurrentVersion (Folder)Look for Product Key 5dg6-y6yhg-g7yy6-7tgh (or what ever) This is where it is,but if you have formated drive (No Can Do) If you find the key wright it on CD.

to find the one you have now start-run-type in regedit press ok- click edit-click find-type in ProductKey -press enter
no spaces in ProductKey ,and the P and K are in caps
