Comment:

I have a Compaq Presario and with it came video phone software. I bought a camera last christmas. I never used the vid. phone program and needed some free space on my hard drive so I got rid of the program. The program did not go alone. It took my RealTime video drivers with it. So now I cant use my camera for anything. If you can help me find out how or where I could get these drivers that would be great. Thank you.

Heres an indepth problem people.
On my old pentium 200mhz, 64 megs ram, my Intel PC Camera software was good. In the "snapshot" program I was getting over 30fps, very fast. Now on my new celeron 600 w/ direct x 7 installed, any video window that uses the camera, seems extremely slow. like under 10 fps. On one of the setting, it said the camera is streaming at 7fps. How do I lessen the quality, so I can stream at over 30 fps, so my video is smooth? It says my video capture device is: Microsoft WDM Image device or something. How do I change this to a different device that supports smoother streaming.

ok, heres another problem, i bought my comp 2 years ago and have tons of roon on it, i also recieved with my comp, an intel create and share software pavkage with the video phone app and cam, after about a few months it wouldnt compress video, and recieved a textbox message stating that it could not compress video, and that i should uninstall, then reinstall the software, i did as i was instructed, and durring the reinstall a dialog box popped up saying that a newer version of video phone was found in my computer and if i wanted to continue with the install, i must delete the other version of videophone, i did a search in my comp and came up with nothing, now im stuck with what i thought was a fun software program that i cant even use, my cam works with chatrooms and stuff, but i dont want it for that crap, i was making great vids to send to my family and even used the vid phone, now im stuck with $200 bucks worth of useless software, i guess what im saying is, dont buy an intel create&share product, this is the second time this has happened, the first time was under the same cercumstances and while figuring out the problem, my comp crashed and lost everything, after that i was able to reinstall the software, but at the cost of loosing my intire harddrive, now im lookin to find something i can download and use for my cam....any ideas,....anyone...
