Someone put a trojan virus on my computer. I deleted all the files except one which wont delete becaause it's write protected. I need to know if there is anyway to delete this thing. Thanks

Benjamin...determine the name of the file...go to explorer, find the file, go to properties of that file and you will find 4 check boxes...uncheck the "read only" box...then delete...Good Luck Steve

In my opinion after ANY kind of virus, you should format the disk using a write-protected clean bootdisk

Write-protected is different from read-only. Try delete it in MS-DOS?
You should use a clean antivirus rescue disk to remove the trojan.

boot .from a write protected boot disk and find the file and delete.technically you can delete any file in windows except the one the computer is using .
