I am trying to reach Daveincaps. A couple of months ago he aided a Virginia in upgrading Win 98 to Win 98SE using the Win 98SE install disc she had. I have the same problem and would appreciate ANYONE who would give me step-by-stwep instructions. He said someting about renaming files/folders that I could not follow (ren c\windows...)

I believe you added onto a older thread and I posted back there. I think you're just talking about upgrading to SE using a full version cd. Just do a search for a file called win.com...rename win.com entries to win.old (there may be more than one), reboot & install 98SE as you normally would (I'm assuming you know how)...just make sure it installs into C:\windows & not C:\windows.000 Asus A7N8X-X 1800+ @8x210mhz 512mb PC3200 Ti4200/8X 128mb WDC 60GB
