I have a HP Laserjet 6L PCL that I need an updated driver for!! I've been to the HP site and downloaded all the drivers available for it but they don't work!
My problem is that the printer prints a line of garbage characters, page after page. The original driver doesn't work. Oh, and I have Win98 SE...
If anyone can even tell me the actual name of the driver file, or where to find an updated driver that would be very helpful. Just email replies.

I am using my HP 6L PCL with Win98 and I never changed/updated the drivers since I used it with Win95. It works fine. Have you tried reinstalling it using the drivers on the Win98 CD ? Maybe your current driver got mangled somehow. If you click on Printers in Control Panel, right click (Properties) and re-install the driver, that may help. Dane
