NEED DT-0196H DRIVER? I GOT IT.

Are you cursed with a Diamond Technologies DT-0196H sound card that you KNOW would work just fine *if only* you had the driver for it? Well, look no further.

This sound card is also referred to as an MF-009. I think we all know what the MF stands for.
The way I got it to work was this:
* DON'T install the card yet. * unzip the @#$%! file into a directory of yer choosing... * shut off yer *^$@%$%@ computer. * install the @%$%%$&!! card. * turn on yer @$%^&#!$ computer. * hopefully yer computer will recognize the thing as being added...when it does, browse to the directory where ya unzipped the @^%@$^ file, and BAM! yer done.
the sweet sound of success should be that cheerful win98/95 startup noise.
remember, if you've already put the @#$%^&@! card in yer ?!@$% machine, it prolly detected it and "installed" it as an "Unknown Device"...you'll have to go into yer System Properties/Device Manager and take the "Unknown Devices" out...otherwise, you'll sit there all day wonderin' why yer @$%%^&(@ computer doesn't see yer !@$%$%^ card.

this baby was a real MUTHAH to find. i have spent entirely too much time lookin for it (the man-hours i've wasted would have bought about 4 soundcards of infinitely greater quality, not to mention the precious family-fun time i coulda had.)

Summary: hey i got it to work. i changed something in the BIOS. dunno what the hell i did but i got it working :-) tnx everybody who tried to help me....
Summary: i had to reinstall win98se on my pc because when i got it used... it was locked up... but when i did i lost my audio driver and i need help downloading a new one... i have an e machine 466is sound car...
