Need Direct X 3D accelerator

I cannot run games (LEGO Rock Raiders, MS Motocross). I can load but get the message "No DirectX Accelerator could be found" and game will not start.
My computer is a P120, 32 MB ram.
Can anyone help me find the DirectX 3D accelerator I need?

What type of video card do you have? Did you install microsoft directx? If not goto www.microsoft.com/directx/ and download it

- When I go to control panel-system-device manager-sound video and game controllers I see the following 3 listed: Creative sound blaster 16 plug and play; Gameport joystick; and S3 video capture driver. Does this answer your question?
- I did not install DirectX myself but I do have version 6 on my machine.
- I went to www.microsoft.com/directx/ and got zero results from my search. Here is the message I received: "Your search using "Exact Phrase" for "DirectX 3D accelerator" returned 0 results."
I am, therefore, still stuck. Do you have any more ideas?
