Comment: I have a Standard PCI Graphics Adaptor(VGA) on my COMPAQ PREASRIO 5722 having a COMPAQ MV 920 Monitor . However, the display only shows 16 colors and not 256 colors. Can someone help? Do I need a SVGA driver to show 256 colors and if so where do I get it? The COMPAQ website is a jungle. I am running Windows 98 Second Edition

Reply: (edit)You will need to find and load the correct driver for the video card installed in your computer. Standard VGA is a default generic driver installed by windows when you do not have the correct driver to install. Go to windrivers.com, You will need the model and serial # of your Compaq computer, and search Compaq driver site.

i was searching to download the color drivers for my computer.I could not fine any site.Can you please help me out with the site address,where i can get into that and I could get back my original color setting for my computer.when I go into the computer and check about the color settings it says my computer does not have the drivers that can support the display of color management.
