nav removal

uninstalled norton but didn't go well. so removed remaing files and directories as well as registry entry incl symevnt.386 but this last entry keeps reappearing. and boot into win98 informs of missing file symevnt.386 and nav-autoprotect unable to start. no ref in system.ini or registry. have done a search in registry for symevnt.386 and completely removed from registry. error at atratup keeps appreaing that symevent.386 may have to be reloaded. where else can this ref be. its not in autoexec so where else?

If you can post the Exact Name & Version of the Norton Program you had the problem during uninstall resulting in file fragments being left behind to cause errors, we might be able to help you solve it.

finally tracked down all remaining entries in registry both symevent and navap and errors no longer reported at win boot.
