I now have a mywebsearch tool bar on my Internet Explorer. Would like to get rd of it. Showed up after updating to IE 6. Anyone know how to make it go away? Don't need the clutter and diminished window.

You have spyware!
Try downloading/installing/updating then running Spybot Search & Destroy v1.3 & Adaware SE. You should have those programs anyway. If that doesn't work, try searching google. There's plenty of info out there about it & how to get rid of it.

from www.doxdesk.com
Open 'Add/Remove Programs' in the Control Panel. Select the 'My Search Bar' (MySearch variant), 'MyWay Speed Bar' (MyWay) or 'My Web Search Bar' (MyWeb) entry and click 'Remove'. For the MyWeb variant, be sure to also remove 'Fun Web Products Easy Installer'.You can then reset your home page (Internet Options->General->Start Page) if it has been changed, and search settings (Internet Options->Programs->Reset web settings).

It may be listed in Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs, but it may not "remove". Try it...if it works great, if not, use the spyware removers. Like I said, you should have them anyway

1) Go to start>run and type 'appwiz.cpl' Uninstall My WebSearch app from the List.
2) Install Spybot and Ad Aware and delete the entries found. Restart, if prompted.
3) Go to hkey_local_machine>software>microsoft>windows>current version>run and delete all the unnecessary items there.
restart the machine once. And everything should be fine!
Let us know if that worked.
