the laser jet drivers are standard for win98 got to add printers delete the printers that are not working then select add printer it will guide you thru the steps and select the hplaserjet 5 when it promps you if you are not running 98 then go to windrivers.com they have a vast library of drivers

I deleted printers ,left winfax on ,and the message still came back saying put in cd rom disc,I downloaded printer driver and still it is telling me to insert disc.
Do you get the 'have disk' button anywhere along the 'add printer' process ? if so press that and then the 'browse' button, then locate your driver on your hard disk.
