i was changing my resolution from 800x600 to 1024x768. then i change it back to 800x600. after that i played this pool game in my pc. the title of the game is cool pool. now, when i exited the game the monitor suddenly turns into a black screen. so i reset and after windows loads the monitor doesnt display anything anymore but instead it turns completely into black.
please, help me...i would really appreciate it. thankx and more power to you all.

If you are able to boot into the Safe Mode, do so.
Go to your Dispaly Settings and go down to the advanced tab. Look in the box that says Refresh rate. Try 60 mhz.
Reboot and see if your display shows.
Be careful however, you don't want to set the refresh rate much above that until you read the specs on your monitor. A higher refresh rate than your monitor can handle could cause it fail completely.
You should be safe with this lower setting until you can find the specs your for your individual unit.
