My microphone won't work

I have searched the web over and can't find anyone to help me get my mic working again. I have even formatted the hard drive and re installed windows 98. I bought a new mic - works on other computers. Please help me - I wanna use dial pad & voice on ICQ !

Double click on volume control on lower right of screen then options, then properties then click on recording then ok and make sure microphone is there and check select. If microphone is not listed then click on options and then properties and check off microphone. Should work.

Try this: Go to Control Panel|OPL3-SAx Config|MIC Volume Control|select "MIC +20dB".
