My microphone isn't working!

Is it pluged into the right spot on your sound card? It should either say "mic" or have a little "->" pointing into a bunch of concentric circles. Or is windows not "seeing"/useing it?

Double click the speaker icon in your tray. Should bring up your soundcards mixer. Make sure that the microphone slider isn't muted. If it is, uncheck it. Got a feeling that is where your trouble is or as Andrew said, make sure it is connected to the mic input to your soundcard.

Good advice above! Also check the 'Recording' settings. 'Options > Properties > Recordings'
