Kay, so what happened is I have a suped up 486 that runs at 83 mghz the fans do their jobs and everythings hunky dory. but a couple of days ago when I was either using a game or word program (MSoffice 97)the screen would flicker and turn blue.(sort of a crappy screen, off colour.)and I couldn't warm boot it at all (ctrl+alt+del)so I turned it off this happened agian and now won't start at all just the blue screen. it does the normal beep, then two or three more which didn't sound right. you can hear the hard drive grinding away but nothing on the screen. please this probably isn't the most technical posting but I could still use your help. no viruses 2 small hard drives (maybe 500 megs ea.) MSoffice 97 directX 5.1 other misc. stuff please help thanks.

Dave, The most obvious problem that comes to mind from your description is your VGA card. But first try a different VGA cable, borrow it from someone(if you can or buy a new one)If this doesn't solve your problem then tis your VGA card. Try a different card(if its built on the board then try disabling it and try a new card).
Please mention the exact sequence of beeps too(how many, short or long etc.)
