my computer freezes when i try to..

when ever i try to watch a video on my computer it freeze's, ill try to use a divx player real player windows media player and music match but they all freeze can anyone help me.

Two things come to mind, video card drivers, and or acceleration of the video card. Have you checked for updated drivers? I would also look at sound card driver updates as well.

Install more RAM. If you've only got 64 that may not be enough.

Had that issue once. probably too easy to be the problem, but if you use Nvidia Gforce Vid Cards, they can hang when the drivers are outdated. My GforceII freezes if I try to run it with the "stock" driver it came with. The new detonators from nvidia and directX seem to work well.
