I assume you mean it's not showing up in the posting screen (versus not showing up in 'my computer' when windows loads).
How is it connected--primary slave, secondary master, etc?
Setting a hard disk predelay in cmos allows the bios a little more time to detect a hard drive. I don't know if you can do it for a cdom or not. But even setting it for your hard drive may give enough time for it to see the cdrom.
