OS: win98SE
CPU/Ram: P II 333 Ram is 64MB

Please I need help here I reformatted my Compaq deskpro and since then my monitor is only showing the basic 16bit color, I learnt that win98SE has the driver for the adapter please how can I access it from win98 operating system so that my monitor can show clear pictures

You could download Everest Home edition and see what video card you have.Possible that Win98se doesn't have the driver and you could go to www.driverguide.com and find it after you identify which one you have. http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html

If the video is on-board or the video card originally came with the computer, the drivers should be on the compaq support page for your model.
