I have a CDRW(Slave) and CDROM(Master) and when I am playing a game like say starcraft for some reason after a given amount of time the cdrom or cdrw will "spin down" and fall asleep causing my game to lock up! I have to restart and start over...bummer! What can I do or install to prevent this from happening? It is really a pain in the BUTT!
Thanks! Happy Holidays and Take Care.

Possible..... Check your APM (Automatic Power Management) settings in control panel and/or BIOS. When you start the games, things are buffered into memory, and your using that to play. The drive has no activity, so it powers down. As I said, a possibility.
