If you are having MWave problems, my advise is to rip it out of your machine and replace it with a 56K Fax/Modem and a SB64.
MWave cards are not made any more (for a good reason), and you'd be lucky (or unlucky) to find a replacement.
Go on, take the plunge and replace the MWave.

if this error message is from an IBM Aptiva and has occured after having the computer apart I may have the solution. If you are competent with hardware I suggest that you remove the mwave card and riser board. Take the three edge connectors and firmly seat them in the system board. Refit the riserboard ensuring you fell it fit firmly onto the edge connectors. Refit the mwave card and it should work. I have come across this problem more than once. Helen
