Hi,

I'm using an IBM Thinkpad 755CE (I know - get a new computer!) Whenever I am online, sooner or later my mwave modem crashes. I pick up the phone and I hear either dead air, or a busy signal. I'm pretty sure it's not my ISP because my roommate uses the same connection on a different computer with no problems.

When the modem crashes and I try to restart the computer will hang. Finally I hit Ctrl-Alt-Del to get the task manager and see that "Discrim" is not responding. After ending that task, I sometimes also get "Msgsrv32" not responding as well. Sometimes I get a complete crash with a pop-up message window saying: "MWME0001:Mwave Modem Internal Error Primary Code: 2 (0x 002) Secondary Code: 4 (0x 0004)".

I am running windows 98 and the crash seems to occur completely randomly weather I'm using MSIE or Pegasus mail.

Any tips would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you.
